“Once you choose hope, anything's possible.” Christopher Reeve
Hello! I’m so glad you’re here.
Professionally, I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado with 17 years of experience. I earned my Master of Arts degree in Counseling at Valparaiso University with a focus in Clinical Mental Health and Mind-Body Awareness. Personally, I’m a believer in our innate ability to heal, in body, mind, and spirit. I became a counselor because I have a passion for helping others and have seen how personal exploration with guidance and support is one of the most transformational things we can do for ourselves to achieve inner peace.
My personal process of evolution and self-empowerment is ongoing; I take every learning opportunity presented to gain the most current, evidence-based clinical skills. My theoretical orientation is pragmatic and holistic and draws from years of experience using cognitive-behavioral, experiential, solution-focused, and person-centered therapeutic modalities. I have experience working with adolescents, children, and adults in a variety of settings ranging from crisis stabilization units to guiding wilderness therapy trips and everything in between. My mission is to create an emotionally safe and inclusive space for self exploration and growth.
I’m a resident of the Arkansas Valley. I love and feel deeply connected to the wildness of this place. While not at work, I’m happiest on a trail with either a bike, climbing gear, skis, or a German Shorthaired Pointer. Unplugging and venturing into the backcountry and away from the daily grind is a routine practice in self-care. I show my gratitude for the beautiful place I call home by volunteering for Chaffee County Search and Rescue and through routine stewardship. Together, it is my hope that we can navigate life’s difficult but rewarding terrain. See you out there!
